let x be no of rs.1 coins and y be no of rs.2 coins

a.t.q.

x=3y

& x+2y=115

3y+2y=115

y=115/5=23

hence no. of rs. 2 cioins in the purse is 23.

Answer:

No. of one-rupee coins = 3x

No. of two-rupee coins = x

Value of one-rupee coins = 3x

Value of two-rupee coins = x×2 =2x

Given value = 115

So ,

3x+2x = 115

5x = 115

x = 115 =23

5

No. of one-rupee coins = 3x =3×23 =69 coins

No. of two-rupee coins =x =23 coins

Hope It Helps
