x+y=36

Also,

2x+5y=84

=2(36-y)+5y=84 -------from eq(1)

=72-2y+5y=84

=3y=84-72

=3y=12

=y=12/3

=y=4

Putting y=4 in eq(1),

x=36-4

=x=32

Thus, the number of 2 Rupee coin is 32 and the number of 5 Rupee coin is 4.
