Answer:

THE ANSWER IS AS FOLLOWS

Step-by-step explanation:

F+V-E = 2

FACE = 5

EDGES = 8

VERTICE = 2+V-8 = 2

                => V-6 =2

                 => V = 2+6

                  => V = 8

Answer :

5

Solution :

  • Note : Euler's formula in geometry : V + F = E + 2 , where V = no. of vertices , F = no. of faces , E = no. of edges .

Here ,

The given 3D figure have 5 faces and 8 edges .

ie , F = 5 and E = 8 .

Also ,

We know that ,

=> V + F = E + 2

=> V + 5 = 8 + 2

=> V = 8 + 2 - 5

=> V = 5

Hence ,

The number of vertices is 5 .
