Answer :

option (a) x² - 9

Given :

‣‣ Sum of zeroes = 0

‣‣ One zero = 3

To find :

‣‣ Quadratic polynomial

Solution :

Let other zero be 'a'

‣‣‣ Sum of zeroes = 0

      3 + 'a' = 0

        a = -3

Other zero = -3

• The zeroes are 3 and -3.

Let's find product of zeroes,

= 3 × (-3)

= -9

‣‣‣ Product of zeroes = -9

  • The quadratic polynomial will be in the form of

x² - (sum of zeroes)x + (product of zeroes)

               x² - (0)x - 9

                  x² - 9
