Solution :

Here, sum of zeroes is given as -5 and product of zeroes is 6 is given.

i.e.

  • α + β = -5
  • α × β = 6

To find a quadratic polynomial, the formula is given as :

  • - (sum of zeroes)x + product of zeroes

Now, put the values of sum of zeroes and product of zeroes.

=> x² - (α + β)x + αβ

=> x² - (-5)x + (6)

=> + 5x + 6

Hence, the quadratic polynomial is + 5x + 6.
