Given - BD = AC

TO PROVE - ar(abc) =ar(adc)

proof– ABCD Is a parallelogram (diagonal bisect each other )

In ∆abc and ∆adc

AB=DC (OPP. SIDE OF parallelogram)

BC = AD (SAME REASON)

AC=AC (COMMON )

therefore ∆ABC congruent ∆ABD

ar (ADC)= ar( ABC) [ congruent ∆are equal in area]
