Length of pole AB = 16 m

Length of pole CD = 10 m

AC is the wire

The wire makes an angle of 30 with the horizontal(EC) i.e.∠ACE=30°

EB = CD =10 m (refer the figure)

So, AE = AB -EB = 16-10 = 6 m

Now In ΔAEC

Hence the length of the wire is 12 m
