Yes , I do think he was right . He is not a villian or cruel minded, He was like a form of God in infinity war. He had all infinity stones in which he can use to control and rule the whole universe, but he didn't . According to present situation humans are most dangerous animals and became a weight on earth . Earth is not happy for what human is doing. The Earth would get peace when humans become extinct. ....lol

Thanos was the one who maintains the balance of the universe. He just knew one thing that if any new species needs to come up then there must be someone to sacrifice for it. In a way he was right and at the same time he was wrong same as a paradox. he was right in the sence in making a proper balance in this universe and always ready for change. he was wrong in a way that exhistence of any creature should only be destroyed according to nature and the rule will be applicable of survival of the fittest.
if u ask me then he was not a villain because as we know that humans at the current time is the most cruel organism exhist on this planet who can do anything for there benefit.
