Given :-

A race car accelerates uniformly from 18.5m/s to 46.1 m/s

Time = 2.47seconds

Solution :-

Here,

Initial velocity( u) = 18.5m/s

Final velocity ( v) = 46.1 m/s

Time taken ( T) = 2.47Sec

Using First equation of motion,

v = u + at

46.1 = 18.5 + a * ( 2 .47 )

2 .47a = 46.1 - 18.5

2.47a = 27.6

a= 27.6/2.47

a = 11.17m/s^2

Now, Using third equation of motion we find distance.

2as = v^2 - u^2

2 * 11.17 * s = ( 46.1)^2 - ( 18.5)^2

22.34 * S = 2125.21 - 342.25

S = 79.8m

The distance travelled by car = 79.8m
