let radius of inner circumference of ring is r and outer circumference is R. then width of tack must be (R - r).

so, inner circumference = 2πr = 264 m ......(1)

outer circumference = 2πR = 308 m .....(2)

subtracting equation (1) from (2),

2πR - 2πr = 308 - 264

⇒2π(R - r) = 44

⇒2 × 22/7 × width of track = 44

⇒ width of track = 44/(44/7) = 7 m
