Given:

  • Acceleration,a = 4 m/s²

  • Time taken,t = 2 Sec

  • Initial velocity,u = 0 m/s

To find out:

Find the distance,s covered by a racing car ?

Formula used:

s = ut + 1/2at²

Solution:

From the Second equation of motion, we have:

s = ut + 1/2at²

★ Substituting the values in the second equation of motion, we get:

s = 0 × 2 + 1/2 × 4 × ( 2 )²

= 0 + 1/2 × 4 × 4

= 1/2 × 16

= 8 m

Hence,the distance covered by a racing car is 8 m .
