A racing car has a uniform acceleration of 2 metre per sq second what distance will it cover in 15 seconds after the start?

Answer :

Initial velocity of car = zero

Acceleration = 2m/s²

Time of journey = 15s

We have to find distance covered by car during the given interval of time.

ATQ, Acceleration is said to be constant throughout the motion! So we can apply second equation of kinematics to solve this question.

⇒ S = ut + (1/2) at²

⇒ S = (0×15) + (1/2) (2 × 15²)

⇒ S = 0 + (1/2) (450)

S = 225m
