Given :-

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0
  • Acceleration (a) = 4m/s²
  • Time taken (t) = 10s

To find :-

  • Distance covered (s)

Solution :-

According to the second equation of motion

→ s = ut + ½ at²

→ s = 0 × 10 + ½ × 4 × 10 × 10

→ s = 0 + 2 × 100

→ s = 200m

Hence,

  • Distance covered by a racing car is 200m

Extra Information :-

  • v = u + at (First equation of motion)
  • v² = u² + 2as (Third equation of motion)
  • The rate of change in velocity is known as acceleration

Given :-

  • Initial Velocity = 0m/s.

  • Acceleration = 4m/s²

  • Time = 10 seconds.

To Find :-

  • Distance Covered By Car.

Solution :-

Use 2nd Equation Of Kinematics,

s = ut + ½ at²

Here,

s = Distance,

u = Initial Velocity,

t = Time,

a = Acceleration.

➭s = 0 × 10 + ½ × 4 × 10 × 10.

➭s = 0 + 2 × 100.

➭s = 200m.

Hence, Distance Covered = 200m.
