Assume that the car was initially at rest. This would imply that initial velocity of the car is zero.

Now, you have 'acceleration', you have 'time' and 'initial velocity' so for distance apply the equation :

D = (v0)t + 1/2(a)(t^2)

And you'll have the answer to your question, that is, distance travelled = 576m
