Answer:

2000 metres

Explanation:

Given :

  • Acceleration of the racing car = a = 10 m/s²

  • Time taken = t = 20 seconds

  • Initial velocity = u = 0 m/s

To find :

  • Distance covered by the racing car after start

Using the second equation of motion :

S=ut+½×at²

S=0×20+½×10×20²

S=0+5×400

S=2000 metres

The distance covered by the racing car after start is equal to 2000 metres or 2 kilometres

Given :-

  • Initial velocity (u) of car =0m/s

  • Acceleration of car (a) =10m/s²

  • Time taken (t) =20s

To Find:-

  • .Distance covered by car.

Solution :-

By using 2nd equation of motions

➦ s = ut+1/2at²

➭ s = 0×20+1/2×10×20²

➭ s = 5 × 400

➭ s = 2000m

➭ s = 2000/1000= 2km

∴ The distance covered by car is 2km
