Let the distance of the plane from the man be x....
as we know
when the waves will.come out from the radar it will reach the aeroplane i.e travel a distance x,,then it will again come back to.the radar covering the distance x
in this case
total distance travelled by the waves=2x
speed of the wave=3×10^8
time taken=.02S
we know, distance travelled=speed × time taken
so,
so,
2x=3×10^8×.02
x=3×10^6m
Hence total distance of the plane from the radar is 3×10^6m
{hope it helps you}
