A radar signal is beamed towards a planet from the earth and its echo is received seven minutes later. Calculate the velocity of the signal, if the distance between the planet and the earth is 6.3x1010m?

velocity = displacement/time
displacement = 0
thus velocity = 0.

speed = distance travelled/time
speed = (2×6.3×10^10)/(7×60) = 3×10^8 m/s (speed of light)

speed= distance/time  inorder to hear an echo sound have to travel twice the distance.     then s        speed =2 x6.3 x10*10/7 =12.6 x10*10/7 x60se=    126 x10*9/420 =0.3 x10*9  =3 x10*8m/s     velocity=0 since displacement is zero   velocity =displacement/time
