The band is simply 12 - 7.5 = 4.5 MHz

Given:-

v_{1} = 7.5\; MHz = 7.5\times {10}^{6}\; Hzv

v_{2} = 12\; MHz = 12\times {10}^{6}\; HHz

c = 3\times {10}^{8}\; m/s

Explaination:-

• Corresponding wavelength for v_{1} can be calculated as:

= λ_{1} =  \dfrac{c}{v_{1}}

= \dfrac{3\times {10}^{3}}{7.5\times 10^{6}} = 40\;m

• Corresponding wavelength for v_{2} can be calculated as:

 =λ_{2} =  \dfrac{c}{v_{2}}

= \dfrac{3\times {10}^{3}}{12\times 10^{6}} = 25\;m

Thus, the wavelength band of the radio is 40 m to 25 m.
