It means that an electric power of 200 watts or 0.2 kilowatts is consumed by the radio, [watt is the SI unit of power] and 240v of current supply must be coming through the live wire from the substation on the place where it’s plugged on to.[ It doesn’t mean it would consume 240v]
I think it’s difficult to understand the second statement. I will explain to you.
If you ask your parent or teacher about the voltage supply coming to the house they will answer either 220 or 230. Voltage is the SI unit of potential difference. Now if you ask what potential difference is then the answer is that it is the difference in the current between the live wire and neutral wire or scientifically it is the work done to move a unit charge from one point to another.
1 Volt= When one joule work is done to move one coulomb charge.
In places like Dubai there are two options for current supply to houses. One is 110v supply and other is 220 b supply. Due to this if you purchase a product in which it’s written 110v as it’s written in the statement this device can’t be used in a house which receives a current supply of 220v. If you ask what will happen if we do so, then so would say nothing great will happen, just the device won’t work in that place.
Hope you understood the answer.
You can thank my effort by marking me the brainliest.
Thank you
