Here,

OB=13 cm

AB=10 cm(refer to the figure)

Now, AC=BC=5 cm(Perpendicular from the centre bisects the chord)

In ∆OBC, using Pythagoras theorem,

OB²=BC²+OC²

(13)²=(5)²+(OC)²

169-25=OC²

OC²=144

OC=12 cm

The distance of the chord from the centre is

➡12 cm
