m1 u1 + m2 u2 = MV
applying conservation of linear momentum

m1 = 10000 kg
m2 = 10000 kg

u1 = 15 m/sec
u2 = 0 m/sec

M = 10000 +10000 = 20000 kg
v =?

10000(15) + 10000(0) = 20000(V)
150000 =20000 V

V = 150000/20000

common velocity after collision =  7.5m/sec
