A railway locomotive enters a stretch of track, which is in the form of a circular arc of radius 280 m, at 10 m/s and with its speed increasing uniformly. Ten seconds into the stretch its speed is 14 m/s and at 18s its speed is 19 m/s. Find (i) the magnitude of the locomotive is linear acceler eration when its speed is 14 m/s (ii) the direction of this acceleration at that point with respect to the locomotives radial acceleration (iii) the angular acceleration of the locomotive.
