Hi there ...!

Original cost of ticket = Rs 720

Tax = 2% on current amount = 2% of 720 = 2/100*720 = Rs 14.4

Thus, new amount = original + tax = 720 + 14.4 = Rs 734.40

Answer : Hence , the total amount of this ticket is Rs 734.40

Step-by-step explanation:Cost of a railway ticket = x = Rs 720

Tax = t = 2%

Total amount = x ( 100 + t )/100

= 720 × ( 100 + 2 )/100

= ( 720 × 102 )/100

= Rs 734.40

Total amount of the ticket = Rs734.40
