A rainbow is formed because the water droplets in the atmosphere act as prisms.but then,why is only a single big rainbow formed?

A rainbow is formed due to dispersion when the rain drops suspended in the atmosphere then the light from the sun disperse from the droplets and they appear as a rainbow which is of seven colours
