A rainbow is formed by the refraction and reflection of light.. The sunlight passes as a straight line so the refracted ray should also be straight... But why does a rainbow bends and forms concentric circles?

This is due to angle of 42 to 40 degrees sometimes upto 50

sumudha: Rainbow is formed in concentric circles. They are formed above the ground or from inside the earth
sumudha: What does antisolar point mean
tnwramit1: it is a point directly in front on the sun or we can say opposite to sun
tnwramit1: straight opposite
tnwramit1: and rainbow is fromed above the ground
sumudha: Then y we will see only half rainbow?
tnwramit1: tnx for giving me brainliest
sumudha: Ur wlcm
sumudha: Ansr my above qstn
tnwramit1: ya we will see the rainbow upto antisolar point

This is the light that forms rainbows. The amount light bends as it passes through the droplet depends on the light's wavelength, or color -- red light bends the most, orange and yellow slightly less, and so on, down to violet, which bends the least.this angles happens to be approx 42 degrees so that we standing in the ground can see the rainbow
