Ram and Pinky are looking at the image of an object A as shown in fig 4.

To find:

  • Position of images

  • Laws of reflection.

  • How Ram can get multiple images of object A?

Solution:

The image of object A will be obtained at position Y , because in case of a plane mirror the object distance is equal to the image distance.

Laws of Reflection:

  • The angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection.

  • The incident ray, normal and the reflected ray lie on the same plane.

Ram can observe multiple images of object A by using multiple mirrors kept at various angles to one another. So if Ram keeps the object in between two mirrors, he can see multiple images.
