Step-by-step explanation:

Lets find Amount on CI =

  • Principle = 24000
  • Rate % = 10%
  • Time = 2 years
  • Amount = ?
  • CI = ?

amount \:  = p {(1 + r \div 100)}^{n}

A = 24000( 1 + 10 / 100)^ 2

A = 24000( 11 / 10 )^ 2

A = 24000*11/10*11/10

A = 29040

amount \:  = principle + ci

29040 = 24000 + CI

29040 - 24000 = CI

5040 = CI

SI is half of CI as per problem,

SI = CI / 2

SI = 5040 / 2

SI = 2520

Therefore, SI is rs. 2520
