then  \frac{x + 4}{y - 6} = 1

x + 4 = y - 6    [cross - multiply]

y = x + 10     (1)

then  \frac{x - 7}{y + 5} = \frac{-3}8}

-3y - 15 = 8x - 56   [cross - multiply]

8x + 3y = 41

putting (1) in the above equation :

8x + 3(x + 10) = 41

8x + 3x + 30 = 41

11x = 11

x  = 1

y = x + 10

y = 1 + 10 = 11
