Solution :- Let, x = -2/3 and y = 1/4

Hence required rational number lying between x and y are :-

Fourmul :- 1/2 [ x+y ]

= 1/2 [ -2/3 + 1/4 ]

= 1/2 [ -8 + 3 / 12 ]

= 1/2 × -5/12

= ✔️-5/24✔️:- ans :-

Hence , a required rational number between -2/3 and 1/4 is ✔️ -5/24 ✔️
