Yes it it true. One example is -3/7 where one is negative and one is positive, the final value is negative...

yes, dear it is true .. because rational number means numerator / denominator .. so,, if we keep in numerator negative sign and in denominator positive then - / + = - then we get negative sign only .. even though if one is negative then total will negative. if both are negative or both are positive then the signs will be positive

EX : 5/-2 = -5/2
