let p/q then
(p/q × 5/2 ) + 2/3 = -7/12
p/q = (-7/12 - 2/3 ) ×2/5
= (-15/12) × 2/5
= -1/2

Answer:

Let x be the rational number.

5/2 × ( 3 / 3 = 7 / 12 )

5/2 * = 7 / 12 -1/3

5/2 = -7 - ( 2 - 4 ) / 12

5/2 × - 15 / 2

Multiplying both sides by ( 2/15 )

x = - 15 / 12 × 2 / 5 = - 1/2

.•. Rational number = - 1/2
