A rational number is such that when you multiply it by 5/2 and add 2/3 to the product ,you get -7/12 what is the number.

Hey mate!! that's your answer-

let x be the rational number

according to question,

x* 5/2 + 2/3 = -7/2

x * (15 + 4)/6 = -7/2. ( by taking LCM of 2 & 3 we get 6 as denominator)

x* 19 /6 = -7/2

so rational number = -21/19
