A rational number is such that when you multiply it by 5/2 and add 2/3 to the product,you get -7/12.What is the number?

 \huge \bf \blue{Answer}

Let the rational number as x.

According to question:-

x×5/2+2/3=-7/12

5/2x=-7/12-2/3

5/2x=-7(1)-2(4)/12

5/2x=-7-8/12

5/2x=-15/12

(By cutting)

x=-15×2/12×5=-1/2

Hence the answer is -½.
