Let the required rational number be x.

Now, according to the given question

x×7/2+4/3=5/12

7x/2+4/3=5/12

Taking the LCM of 2 and 3,

21x+8/6=5/12

21x/6=5/12-8/6

21x/6=5-16/12

21x/6= -11/12

x= -11/12×6/21

x= -11/42

Answer: -11/42
