K ya good. This is the first question with Chp. n class mentioned that I have come across.
So now for the answer.

Let the rational number be 'x'
When multiplied by 3/2,
x * 3/2 = 3x/2

Subtracting it from 5/12
5/12 - 3x/2
(LCM=12)
5/12 - 3x/2 * 6/6
5/12 - 18x/12

So, we get

5-18x/12 = -6/7
7(5-18x) = 12(-6) (Transposing denominators to opposite sides)
35 - 126x = -72
-126x = -72 + 35 (Transposing 35 to RHS)
-126x = -37
126x = 37
x = 37/126

Now, there's the answer. 'x = 37/126'. It's the final answer as it cannot be further simplified.

I hope you found my answer useful, my friend.

Not trying to sound rude but the answer given by the person above is is incorrect,try to cross check it, it's isn't going to show a definite answer, meaning it's wrong... This is the correct answer to this question, i have also done the cross checking process if you want to check it twice, hope it helps!
