μ = √3
# Solution -
Using Snell's law,
μ = sini / sinr
√3 = sin60 / sinr
sinr = (√3/2) / √3
sinr = 1/2
Taking sin inverse,
r = 30°
Angle of reflection is same as angle of incidence -
r' = 60°
Angle between reflected and retracted ray is calculated by -
θ = 180 - (r + r')
θ = 180 - (30 + 60)
θ = 90°
Therefore, reflected ray and refracted rqy are perpendicular.
