● Explanation -

Let i, r & r' be angle of incidence, refraction & reflection respectively.

For reflected & refracted rays to be perpendicular -

r + r' = 90°

r = 90 - r'

But we know, angle of incidence & reflection are equal

r = 90 - i

According to Snell's law -

μ = sini / sinr

1.5 = sini / sin(90-i)

1.5 = sini / cosi

1.5 = tani

Taking taninverse,

i = taninv(1.5)

i = 56.31°

Therefore, angle of incidence is 56.31° when reflected & refracted rays are perpendicular.
