i + e = A+ d

i --->angle of incidence

e--->emergence

A--->angle of prism

d---->angle of deviation

i=e= (3/4)A

(3/4)A+(3/4)A=A+d

1.5 A-A=d

d=A/2

A=60 degree (equilateral prism)

d=30 ..

Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

e = 47°

● Explanation -

# Given -

i = 50°

d = 37°

# Solution -

For an equilateral prism is -

A = 60°

Angle of emergence of the light ray is calculated by formula -

i + e = A + d

50 + e = 60 + 37

e = 60 + 37 - 50

e = 47°

Therefore, the angle of emergence of the ray is 47°.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you..
