Given:

A ray of light incident on a refracting surface. If the angle of incidence 60° and the angle of refraction is 45°.

To find:

Angle of Deviation

Calculation:

Let light be incident at the interface of 2 media. The angle of incidence be i and angle of refraction be r.

Let deviation be \delta

Since light is going from rarer to denser medium , hence :

 \boxed{ \sf{ \delta =  \angle i -  \angle r}}

 =  >  \delta = 60 \degree - 45 \degree

 =  >  \delta = 15 \degree

Deviation is 15° in CLOCKWISE direction.
