Dear user,

Please find below the solution to the asked query:

Given here:

i= 60°

t= 0.1m

n= 1.5

now,

Lateral shift= d=  t \times ( \sin ( i - r )/ cos r)

n = sin i / sin r

sin r = sin 60 / 1.5

sin r = 0.5773

r =  {sin} ^ {-1} 0.5773 = 35.26

d = 0.1 × { sin (60-35.26) / cos 35.2}

= 0.051 m.
