The sine of angle of incidence is  \frac{3}{4}

Given:

A ray of light is incident on glass slab ng = 1.5, Thickness t in such a manner that the angle of refraction is 30

To Find:

To get the value of sine of angle of incidence

Solution:

From, Snell's law we have,

n1 sin i = n2 sin r

n1 = (air)

n2 = 1.5

Sini = 1.5 sin30

Sini = 1.5 × \frac{1}{2}

Sin i = \frac{3}{4}

Then, the sine of angle of incidence will be \frac{3}{4}
