A ray of light is incident ona plane mirror at an angle of 30°.What is the angle of reflection?

sharmarohit7702: The angle of reflection is 60 degrees. (Note that the angle of incidence is not 30 degrees; it is 60 degrees since the angle of incidence is measured between the incident ray and the normal.)

Answer:

30°

Step-by-step explanation:

Because

angel of incident = angle of reflection

GIVEN:

An incident ray makes an angle of 30⁰

TO FIND:

Angle of reflection.

SOLUTION:

One of the laws of reflection states that:- Angle of Incidence is always equal to the Angle of Reflection.

I.e. ∠i = ∠r

According to the question, Incident ray = 30⁰

i.e.∠i = 30⁰

Therefore, Angle of reflection is also 30⁰.

So, ∠i = ∠r = 30⁰

ANSWER: ∠r = 30⁰
