Rarer Medium

The medium in which speed of light is faster, here air.

Denser Medium

The medium in which speed of light is slower, here water.

Refractive Index = Sin i/Sin r

Refractive Index = 132

Sin r = Sin 45°

[Note : Sin 45° = 1/√2 or √2/2]

➵ 132 = Sin i/Sin 45°

➵ 132 = Sin i/(√2/2)

➵ 132 = Sin i × 2/√2

➵ 132 × √2/2 = Sin i

66√2 = Sin i

Hence incident angle is 66√2 or 93° (approx).

Answer:

68.4 degree

Explanation:

we know that η=\frac{sini}{sinr}   ----(1)

given r=45° η of  water=1.32

put value of r and refractive index in equation 1 and you will get the answer.

hope it helps
