A ray of light passes from optically rarer medium to optically denser medium at the

same angle of incidence. The angle of reflections for optically denser media 1, 2

and 3 are 30°, 20° and 15° respectively. Out of the three media in which is the speed

of light minimum. Give reason for your answer.

Answer:

A ray of light travels from an optically denser medium to a rarer medium. The critical angle along the two media is 'c'. What is the maximum possible deviation of the ray? Hint: When a light ray goes from a denser to the rarer medium it bends away from the normal.
