We will assume here that the ray was incident and emerged normal to the glass slab surface.

As we know that, refractive index, u = c/v

v = c/u

v = (3x10^8)/1.5

v = 2x10^8 m/s

Now distance = speed x time

d = vt

d = (2x10^8)(10^-9)

d = 0.2 m
