A ray of light travelling in air enters obliquely into water. Does the lights ray bend towards the normal or away from the normal? why?​

When light enters from air to water , it is entering from a rarer medium (air) to a denser medium (water). We know that, when light enters from rarer to denser medium it bends towards the normal while when it enters from denser to rarer medium it bends away from the normal.
