A ray of light travelling in air enters obliquely into water. Does the light ray bend towards the normal or away from the normal? Why? ​

when a ray of light travels from air into water obliquely ,it bends towards the normal.this is because water is optically denser then air.On entering water,speed of light decreases and the light bend towards normal
