A ray of light travelling in air falls on the surface whose refractive index is √2. If the angle of incidence is 45°. Find the angle of refraction.

incident angle = 45°

refraction angle = x

refractive index = sin i/ sin r

root 2 = sin 45/ sin r

sin r = root 2 × 1/root2

sin r = 1
