A ray of light travelling in medium-1 of
refractive index Mi is incident on medium-2 of
refractive index M2. If i and r are the angle of
incident and angle of refraction while V and v2
are the speed of light in medium-1 and
medium-2 respectively, then
respectively, then match the
columns.
.i=30' r=45

Answer:

If v1 and V2 is velocity of light in medium 1 and medium 2 respective.

Then n12 , the refractive index of medium 1 with respect to medium 2 is given by :

n12 =

 \frac{v2}{v1}  =  \:  \frac{1}{n21}

Now, according to Snell's law when light is incident on medium 1 with angle i and refracts to medium 2 with angle r then relation between them is given by:

 \frac{ \sin(i) }{ \sin(r) }  =  \frac{n2}{n1}  =  \:  \frac{v1}{v2}  =  \: n21
