a) The ray of light will bend away from the normal.

b) In medium Q,

u = 1.5

We know,

u = Speed of light in vacuum/speed of light in medium Q

1.5 = 300000/v

=> v = 300000/1.5

=> v = 3000000/15

=> v = 200000
